We have just had a lovey meal, Kirsty was our waitress she was very professional and pleasant and attentive the meal was lovely. The chicken was moist it was delightful, great evening we will be back thankyou.
On 13/12/18, i went for Christmas lunch with family. we are regulars there, especially on Wednesdays for the pies.
first we ordered drinks as you do, well i ordered 18 years old single malt "TALISKER" and they served it in a HALF PINT GLASS. because they did not have proper whisky glass furthermore the half pint glass was covered with dried out water marks. This spoilt the afternoon lunch !!!!!!!!
apart from that service was good with a smile , food was good. the place was nice and warm.
I AM A TRAVELLER .
Great pub and great food in a lovely location.
Thursday gone my friend and I decided to treat ourself and go out for a meal. I live very near The Fox, we have been there on quite a few occasions so we decided to go there again. All started well, staff was friendly, they brought us menu and I noticed straight away there was no more vegetarian risotto which I loved so much and so did my friend. I asked waiters for vegan or at least vegetarian, gluten free menu but sadly she could not find the menu. I settled for sweet potatoe chips and mixed side salad, which was really just 3 green leaves, couple of slices of cucumber and red onion and a spoonful of red cabbage. One of my friends had seared fillet of sea bass with new potatoes and grilled asparagus. The other friend really fancied sirloin steak - bad mistake, steak was full of gristle, he had no choice but call back the lady in charge who suggested to have ribeye instead, sadly even this one was poor quality but he was so hungry that he had no choice but eat it. Seared sea bass meal was not much better, fish was OK but the rest had no taste what so ever, two huge asparagus was so hard that there were beyond eating. Out of whole meal, chips that came with steak and my sweet potatoe chips were nice, the rest was extremely desapointig. If that was not enough, when the bill came we were charged for the ribeye steak even if that wasn’t his first choice and he was advised to have it....sadly to say I went back home hungry and I don’t think we will be returning back anytime soon
My partner and myself have just had a sunday lunch and were very impressed with the menu the service and quality of food that was served . And would highly recommend the lamb inn to all our friends and family. A big thank you to all the friendly staff who could not do enough for us.
Went for a pub lunch today with friends. Food was pleasant although not the best I have had, roast potatoes in particular weren’t great. The pie & mash looked very nice & portion size was good. Would definitely return however maybe not for a roast!
