I use a Travel Lodge every time I stay Somewhere away from home In the UK. Easy to find and always a Travel Lodge near the station, or centre of a town!
After making the mistake of using the postcode on google maps instead of typing in Travel lodge (heads up) I found the hotel. Ideally located above a Thai restaurant that I coincidentally had arranged to go to later that day.. result! A few minutes walk from the train station, shops and close to the Hilton double tree sky lounge where I was attending a meeting the next day.
The reception staff were friendly, check in was probably the easiest I’ve ever experienced and they gave me a hairdryer upon arrival. They could have tried to up sell me to breakfast but didn’t do so which was refreshing.
The room was tired but clean. I was really disappointed to see that there were no teabags with the kettle only coffee... surely this is basic stuff?
The windows were open to let some air in (safety catches installed) in a room with no a/c it was nice to have that option.
In the bathroom the hand wash dispenser was on the wall in the shower and the hair and body wash dispenser was by the sink?!
I slept awfuly that night as there was a lot of noise from the streets below but I guess that’s what you get from a central location. Overall not a bad stay considering price, ratings and location, I could have just done with some sleep and a cup of tea!
I usually stay at Travelodge (including Finsbury Park and Walthamstow) once a week due to work and the service is always impeccable. It’s a good price, clean and simple. The bar they have is a bit pricey but that’s the only downside!
I stayed in Travelodge when it was my wedding in London it was very nice experience they gave us, lots of facilities at this property and we took away some great memories.
After spending a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Malta for a few days our last night was spent in one of the travel lodges in London before our journey home to Devon. A very comfortable room with our own en-suite, some lovely smellies to pamper ourselves with and coffee and choccy drinks. A wonderful and enjoyable ending to our holiday. Have recommended a travel lodge to my friends, as they give great service to us oldies.
Always had a good experience with travelodge
Been to many a travel lodge in my time and although they are not anything mind blowing they have all been perfectly nice and staff will go the extra mile for you!
