My daughters 5 and uses a tablet in one of her classes at school so we thought it would be a great idea to buy one so she could practise at home.
We purchased the Fire 7 Kids Edition Tablet for £99 as a Christmas present for Maisie, I didn’t expect her to want to play with it much & I thought it would be used mostly for school work where we would have to sit down with her to show Maisie how it works and help with her projects.
I was amazed at just how quickly not only Maisie but her 3 year old sister Gabby got to grips with this device.
This tablet comes in a fabulous Bright pink kid proof case which should be on all tablets and phones. The girls have dropped this so many times its even rolled down the stairs a couple of times and is still in perfect condition.
The touch screen is designed for children’s little fingers and its not too sensitive that it jumps from page to page to quickly.
There are thousands of great fun learning programs/apps out there and they have access to Netflix children’s programs and “Fire for kids Unlimited” which gives you access to more than 5,000 popular apps and games, videos, books, Audible audio books and educational content from Disney, Nickelodeon, Sesame Street, and many more. This is a great tablet for children but be warned there will be some tantrums when you try to restrict their time on it but I also found that I could get them to tidy their room with a promise of a little bit more time playing on the tablet.
Excellent quality and range of products fresh deli and breads always fresh and keeps well.i have to travel to nearest store but well worth it.
My last home where I lived had one locally was fantastic in most days shopping a bit more pricey but well worth the money.
I do like John Lewis as they sell a very good range of items. Unfortunately I would have to travel to the nearest large city for their large store.
However we do have a home store only 8 miles away but with limited stock.
Have sometimes ordered goods online to be delivered to my local waitrose store which can be useful although I do prefer to physically choose goods.
John lewis provide a great next day delivery to store service when you buy with them, so it comes in handy as you can order up until 8pm and know you can have it next day, very good item selections and deals too.
John Lewis cannot be faulted for their customer service. They are always looking to keep the customer happy and their staff are so helpful.
I am so happy that John Lewis now offer next day delivery to Booths supermarkets as an option for free click and collect spending over £30. This is so much more convenient/ environmentally friendly for where I live rather than a long drive to store or Waitrose. I ordered some Christmas presents and sale items, all were delivered the following day. This now makes shopping all too easy!
I popped into John Lewis recently as I wanted a particular item of make-up. I have never before been to a make-up counter in a department store as I have always felt too intimidated by the glamorous (and heavily made up) assistants behind the counters. Anyway, when I got to the counter, the assistant was busy talking to another two assistants, but reluctantly came over. I asked about the product and I felt that she was judging me and couldn't wait to get rid of me to get back to chatting. Also, they were out of stock of the particular product I wanted. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I had hoped John Lewis would have done better.
Ordering online with John Lewis was fine. Collected the order from my local branch was fine. Got home one of the items was broken. Called them up and they arranged for a replacement to be sent to my local branch - all fine as these things happen. Went to collect the item. After waiting about 25 minutes to be served at the customer service desk, they couldn't find the order, they kept switching to other customers as well. It took about 3 members of staff in the end to find that the item had not been ordered properly and they did not have it in this took nearly an hour and a half. So I had to go back in a couple of days to collect again which they did have in this time but that still took 45 minutes to wait around to be served and for them to find it. Very disappointed in their customer service it really is a shambles, especially for a high end retailer.
We like to buy our electrical products from John Lewis, they will price match and they offer really good extended warranties too.
I like to buy children's clothes too - suitable styles for the ages of my children, at good prices and actually sized perfectly for them. Absolute top quality too.
I received fantastic customer service and help. I will return to buy more in future.
