We visited the Tall Chimney Hungry Horse restaurant for a quick meal. The menu is good, offerring plenty of choice.
We found the restaurant to be quite noisy, and was cold on the day we visited.
Once ordered, the food arrived in good time. It was well presented, hot and tasted good. The waiting staff were all very good and attentive.
The only draw back was the number of children running around - often running in front of waiting staff carrying hot meals.
I would return if in the area again.
Love the Hungry Horse / Woollen Mill in Darlington. Great for watching sports events as they have a big projector screen in the adults only section.
The food there is also great, they recently put out a new menu with a lot more choice. The drinks are also reasonable. You can buy a lovely bottle of white wine for £5.
This is my pub of choice when popping into town. A lot going on, and it also caters for families with children.
It’s defo hit and miss with this place. I’ve been to 3 of the places and honestly it depends where and when you go. It’s just potluck which isn't the best.
Fast and efficient whenever i need it
Nice pub with a good sized garden
Can get busy at weekends and food is slow
Good sized portions
everything was bad about this place food was terrible table wasn't cleaned on arrival and the toilets were a disgrace.
