I tried this cheese a couple of months ago and now I always have some in the fridge.
The 12 & 24 month ripened Džiugas is perfect for any occasion and are also fantastic cheese’s to cook with. The 36 month ripened is delicious, rich, creamy and I keep this for special occasions or when I feel like treating myself.
My favourite accompaniments are toasted walnut bread although any fruit or nut bread would be delicious with Džiugas, try some honey roasted figs with water melon, grapes, Pecans and Moroccan Olives or for a special treat try a little Fresh heather Honeycomb and some Sourdough.
This cheese is delicious and well worth a try I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
